Mini-Abdominoplasty

A mini-abdominoplasty, or “mini tummy tuck,” is a type of cosmetic surgery that can help to improve the appearance of the abdomen. Unlike a traditional abdominoplasty, which involves making large incisions and removing excess skin and fat from the entire abdomen, a mini-abdominoplasty focuses on a smaller area.

This type of surgery may be a good option for you if you have a small amount of excess skin and fat in the lower abdomen, and if your goals are modest. The mini-abdominoplasty procedure typically takes 1-2 hours to complete, and is usually performed under general anaesthesia.

During the surgery, Dr Victoria will make a small incision in the lower abdomen, just above the pubic area. Through this incision, your Miss Teoh will remove excess skin and fat from the lower abdomen. In some cases, your surgeon may also tighten the muscles of the abdominal wall.

You can expect to experience some pain and discomfort for the first few days after surgery, but this can be controlled with pain medication prescribed by Dr Victoria. You should also expect some swelling and bruising in the surgical area; however, this will resolve over time. Most people take 1-2 weeks off from work or other activities to recover from surgery.
